In this case, our client recognized a need for modular toilets that can be easily installed and used at golf courses, parks, children’s play areas, homeless camps and other places.

The issues they needed to resolve for their customers?

Bureaucratic permitting delay, installation, maintenance, vandalism and weathering were the main ones.

With our client’s knowledge and W. M. Kelley’s Engineering Group’s experience and expertise, we solved these issues. The result is a modular outdoor restroom built to specific requirements.

• No permitting is required now. This eliminates a 6-7 month process.
• After approval, the restroom still had to be “stick-built” on site. Another delay. Now, the restroom is ready when their customer’s site is ready.
• Once the basic infrastructure is in place, the unit can be installed in a single day.
• The modular restroom is less expensive than a “stick-built” restroom. More durable. Requires less maintenance. It’s more substantial than a porta-pot.
• Sewers and water plumbing aren’t necessary.
• Heavy-duty 1/8″ steel construction. Powder-coated finish inside and out that allows for solvent removal of graffiti.
• Aluminum, non-slip checkered plate flooring.
• Entire unit can be washed down with an on-board hose.
• 12VDC Solar panel, controls, and battery service. No electrical hook-up.
• Modular restroom is easily moved. It can be placed for a season and then put into storage over the winter. Or it can be placed for individual events.
• 500-use capacity between servicing.
• The door locks when collection tank is full.
• The restroom cabin is guaranteed to be odor free.
